Commercial Concrete in Hodgkins

Flatwork that gets done without stopping the trucks, the shifts or the customers.

The Schedule Is Part of the Spec

On a commercial site, the concrete specs are only half the plan. The other half is the calendar. A blocked dock door delays shipments. A closed entrance frustrates customers. A dumpster pad that is out of service for a week becomes everyone's problem. Hodgkins has more of this kind of property than most villages its size: warehouses and freight operations near I-55 and the Tri-State, hotels and restaurants along La Grange Road, and offices and multi-unit buildings scattered between them. So we plan commercial concrete as a sequence. First, the scope: which slabs are failing, what loads they carry and what the specs should be. Second, the operations: shift changes, delivery windows, peak customer hours and which access points cannot close. Third, the phasing: dividing the work into sections, each with a closure window and a return-to-service date. Pads and aprons that carry trucks get deeper stone, thicker concrete and more steel. Sidewalks get phased so there is always a usable route. Barricades protect curing sections. You get a written price and a written schedule, and one contact who keeps both on track.

Commercial Scope

Flatwork for businesses, landlords and property managers.

  • Sidewalks and entries

Replaced in phases so customers and staff always have a way in.

  • Dumpster pads

Heavy-duty slabs sized for refuse truck loads.

  • Equipment pads

Level bases for HVAC, generators and other equipment.

  • Loading aprons

Thicker, reinforced slabs at dock doors and service entrances.

  • Multi-unit flatwork

  • Phasing schedule

A written plan showing each closure window and reopening date.

Commercial Job Sequence

  1. Scope and operations

We talk through which areas need work and how the property runs: hours, deliveries, shifts and must-stay-open access.

  2. Site visit and written plan

Measurements, specs and a phasing schedule, delivered with the written price.

  3. Phased execution

Each section removed, rebuilt and poured in its window, barricaded while it cures and returned to service on its date.
